Local artist Klara Jones will join us this school holidays on Wednesday 14 April from 5.30pm to 8.30pm to teach teens and young adults (aged 12-25) how to create a portrait. Klara will help participants to identify what makes an interesting portrait. She will also teach students about the structure and proportions of the human head and how to draw them directly from a model. Participants will be encouraged to explore a range of techniques and materials to help communicate the personality of their subject.
We encourage participants to bring along a photograph of someone they love and admire, please make it your own photograph.
