“Balloon is a 2018 German thriller drama film directed by Michael Herbig. The film depicts the crossing of the Inner German border by the Strelzyk and Wetzel families from the GDR to West Germany with a self-made hot-air balloon in 1979.”

Membership of the Sale Film Society for 2024 costs $50 for the year.

Members will be allowed to bring guests; however, an individual guest will be asked to pay a $5 donation towards the screening.

Should guests wish to attend a second screening later in the year, they will be required to become a member of the Sale Film Society.
