Life Drawing sessions allow artists at all stages to develop their observational drawing skills. All drawing materials are supplied for this program.

Sessions will be held in the Gippsland Art Gallery Activity Room, over six weeks (16 July to 20 August) of a Tuesday evening, sessions are two hours - from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Session 1 - Tuesday 16 July, 6pm -8pm

Session 2 - Tuesday 23 July, 6pm -8pm

Session 3 - Tuesday 30 July, 6pm -8pm

Session 4 - Tuesday 6 August, 6pm -8pm

Session 5 - Tuesday 13 August, 6pm -8pm

Session 6 - Tuesday 20 August, 6pm -8pm


The workshops will appeal to:

– VCE students developing a folio suitable for tertiary level application (students under 18 years of age, parental consent required)

– Amateur artists exploring life drawing for the first time

– Independent more advanced artists

The Gallery provides all basic drawing materials, easels and light refreshments. Sessions will be supervised by Gallery staff and guided by a tutor.

* Please note that both male and female models will be employed. If you are uncomfortable with nudity, please consider if these workshops are right for you.
** Written parental permission is required for students under 18 years.
