Tuesday, February 17, 2026

Tuesday, February 17, 2026

Gippsland students and teachers are invited to this free and informative seminar, created by Gippsland Art Gallery for Senior Art students. The seminar will be held over two venues: The Wedge Theatre and Gippsland Art Gallery (adjacent venues).

This seminar delivers curriculum content for student's studying or planning to study VCE Art Making and Exhibiting and/or Art Creative Practice - in a fun and accessible way. Students will learn directly from curators, artists and Gallery staff. Three of our selected speakers are from approved VCCA Exhibition Synchron City.

Accessing Art is a free program, please RSVP via our Gallery Education email: galleryeducation@wellington.vic.gov.au

The day will start at The Wedge in the John Leslie Theatre as a large group with some Curator presentations on how exhibitions come to life. Followed by artist presentations, giving insight into how artists work and create. After a short lunch break (BYO lunch) student's will be invited back to the Gallery to experience our behind-the scenes tour (in smaller class-sized groups).
