Jane Austen fans will be able to view a selection of rare fashion, accessories and ephemera from the 18th century and the Regency era at the Wellington Centre. Be Persuaded – Jane Austen follows Jane’s life, and the unforgettable characters she created, from growing up in the 18th century through to the 19th century. Highlights include pieces rarely on display including an 18th century silk gown, Empire line frocks, capes, stockings, bonnets and parasols.

A family favourite Lise Rodgers will be returning to perform at The Wedge on Wednesday 14 August. A Most Patient Persuasion, 1.00pm and Getting Dressed with Jane, 7.00pm, will allow Austen fans to experience free performances and a Q&A with Lise.
