Brains, Change and Dementia
August 5, 2019

Gippsland Art Gallery | 24 August to 22 September 2019 | Free Entry

Gippsland Art Gallery will soon host a selection of illustrations from the children’s book My Book About Brains, Change and Dementia on Level 2.

Award winning illustrator and cartoonist George Haddon’s delightful illustrations have brought to life the children’s book My Book about Brains, Change and Dementia, which speaks directly to young children about the realities of dementia in a language they can understand. His drawings capture the sensitivity required, while still managing to engage the audience through a thoughtful balance of education and humour.

The book was originally developed for Dementia Australia’s “Dementia in My Family” website and was written by Family Clinician Lynda Moore. It is designed to help families talk about dementia in an age-appropriate, warm and sensitive way.

Children and their families are invited to attend a special Story Time with the Sale Library and meet the author and illustrator of this book in person!

Thursday 5 September 2019, 10.30am.
All welcome to attend.
