Meeting Rooms
The Port of Sale (Wellington Centre) has four modern, meeting spaces which are well suited to meetings, workshops, training courses and conferences.

These spaces are available for bookings by the general public, and can only be used during business hours. Reservations may be made by completing the Booking Form on the link below.

Wellington Room (Council Chambers)

The Wellington Room is the largest of the available rooms at 162sq/m and features a large semi-circle table, 48-chair theatre style seating, 1 x large video wall and 2 x 55" 4K screens. A lectern is available, there is no whiteboard.

The room faces south and features beautiful views over the Port.

Fees: $455 Full Day or $229 Half Day. Note: The large semi-circle table cannot be moved.

Carang Carang Room

Carang Carang is the Gunaikurnai language name for the Thompson River.

The Carang Carang Room is 67sq/m in size and configures in a U-shape. It includes 6 x tables, 12 x chairs and a whiteboard.

The tables are on wheels, and can be moved out of the room or folded up if necessary. Additional tables/chairs can be added if required. The room also includes 2 x 55" 4K screens.

Fees: $331 Full Day or $177.50 Half Day.

Wayput Room

Wayput is the Gunaikurnai name of the local tribe of the Brayakaulung clan which is one of five clans of the Gunaikurnai nation.

Located in the north-east corner of the building overlooking Foster Street, the Wayput Room is the smallest room available at 48sq/m.

The room features 5 x tables, 10 x chairs and a whiteboard. It also includes 1 x 55" 4K screen.

Fees: $227.50 Full Day or $144 Half Day.

Function Gathering Area

Designed for stand-up functions (up to 200 people) the function gathering area is suitable for displays or expo-style events.

The area does not include tables, chairs or screens, but does have views over the Port of Sale and into the Gippsland Art Gallery.

Fees: $331 Full Day or $177.50 Half Day. ($54 Set Up Fee)

Further Details

Food or drinks are not permitted in the meeting rooms. There is a large sideboard area in the Function Gathering Area that can be used for catering, and includes an urn and mugs. Guests are requested to supply their own tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Catering options are available, please contact 'The Dock' for details.
